About This Chapter
The mermaid and the pirates are in the middle of a battle, and they're about to kill each other when the pirates call for help. The mermaid is worried about her safety, but she's also worried about the pirates' safety. She's afraid that they'll kill her if they don't help her. The pirates, on the other hand, are worried about their own safety, because they've heard that the mermaid has been sent to the depths of the ocean to rescue the pirates. She doesn't want the pirates to kill her, because she'd rather die than see her friends suffer. She also says that if the pirates kill her and her friends, she'll have her head chopped off. She tells the pirates not to worry about her, since she has a message for them: aquila, the woman who sent the mermaid, has sent word that the pirates have killed her. She asks the pirates if they'd like to eat mermaid food, since that's what the pirates sent her for, but the pirates won't listen to her. They're going to have to leave the ocean, the pirates say.
