In this chapter, we learn more about Jack Sparrow's life. He was kidnapped by the pirates when he was a young boy, and his mother was never seen again. Jack Sparrow tells us that one day, he was abducted and never came home. He begs the pirates to help him escape. He tells them that he is going to borrow a sword and scabbard from one of the pirates, who is hiding behind a group of other pirates.
