This chapter opens with a giant manny issue killing a man. The manny tells the manny that he has killed the man, his wife, his daughter, his maid, and a couple of his closest friends. The giant says that he's earned nine times as much money as he has in the past nine years, and that he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him. He says that the target for his killing is Senator Halcyon, who is closing all of the planetary distribution centers. He tells the captain that they have found the senator, and thanks him for having the place. He asks the captain if he can continue. The captain tells him that everyone will be paid three times the normal amount, and he says that they can put the senator in the cargo hold of the ship and set up a special place for him. They'll wear the man down tomorrow, and they'll catch his own food. He's not going to leave until all of his friends have been killed. He wants to go after the moon, but he needs to get back to the ship first. He can't leave until they've killed all of their friends.
