In this chapter, we are introduced to a number of characters, each of whom has a unique story to tell. The first character is a young man who is fascinated by a beautiful beehive. He asks the owner of the hive to leave immediately, but the owner refuses to do so, saying that the area is off-limits. The second character is also fascinated by the hive, but he refuses to leave. He tells the owner that he is here to make the owner pay for the damage he caused to the beehive a year ago. The third character is angry that the owner is following him, and demands to know why he is there. The owner tells him that all four of his friends have paid for the cost of destroying the hive. The fourth character is upset that the bees have been consuming the owner's body, and he threatens to kill the owner if he continues to follow him.
