In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named "Woody" . He is the son of a famous scientist named Edgar Allan Poe, who was killed in the Battle of Waterloo in 1757 . Edgar's father was a member of the rebel army that fought against the French and British in the First World War. In the war, he was captured by the British and sent to the French colonies in the Indian Ocean. He was killed by the French, who mistook him for his father. Edgar is overjoyed to be reunited with his father, who is now dead. He tells Edgar that he has won the war and that he will never give in to the tyranny of the French. He asks Edgar to join him in the war against the British. Edgar agrees to do so.
