The chapter opens with a soliloquy about how nervous the boss is. He asks the young man to wait for him so that he can eat some food. The young man says he'll have to go, but first he wants to make sure that the boss doesn't eat some "food" that's "frozen you want food" . The two men argue about whether or not they should wait for the boss to eat, but the boss refuses to join them, saying that he's always this close to the boss. When the two men finally get to the point where the boss wants to eat something, they argue about what kind of food they should eat. The boss says they should have some "failing real food" and the young men say they'll just have "junk food." The young men then argue about the fact that they're both from the same part of the world, and the boss says that they have "a lot in common
