About This Chapter
In the basement of the hotel, Alys screams that no one is in the room with her and that she has been taken to the other side of the room by the ghost. The ghost touches her and tells her that he is willing to help her find her family. He asks her to open a steel door in the other room, but she refuses, saying that she already has lost two of her family members. She asks the light in the hallway if it would be a good idea to open the door, but the light is too dark to see her. She sighs and says that the shadows make the room more disturbing. She wonders if the ghost has been brought down there by someone, but he says that it is too creepy for him to be there. She says that she knows where the tap taps are, and that this means they are following him. He says that he has lost himself to the theme of the night, and he is happy for his brother's happy birthday. She tells him that she will not let him do anything that would endanger her family, and she asks him to lift a finger to get her back. He agrees to help if there is a chance for her to get back.
