In this short chapter, we learn that Sly and his friends have made a mess of the holiday. Sly realizes that he's been a fool and that he has made some irreversible mistakes. He hears a voice telling him to forgive himself and to get back to Santa Claus. Sly tells us that Santa Claus has been spotted and is traveling at "supersonic speed" . He's turning children's screams into cheers, and he has pulled the magic bag out of the air and brought it back to life. Sly exclaims that there will be "screaming and songs" and "cheers" all over the town celebrating the return of his beloved. Sly asks Jack to join him in the sky, where they can look into the stars.
