Back at his apartment, the Governess is trying to figure out what's going on. She can't figure out why anyone would want to sell her a ticket to a concert when she's so in love with him. The Governess tells her friend to get up and beg for a ride to the concert. She's not going back, she says, because she left her ticket at the concert in case she needs it later. She tells the friend to fetch her purse, and then she'll beg for the ticket. She doesn't want to forget this favor, but she knows that there are a lot of people there, so she has to ask them for a ticket.
