The little girl wakes up in her mother's arms and tells her that she's had a wonderful birthday. She's been given a ton of presents from all over the world, including a giant birthday cake from a famous bakery in Paris. She can't even eat all of it, though, because she'd rather wear designer dresses. The maid tells her to get out of there, because they've promised to come pick her up for her birthday, too. But the little girl doesn't want to be left alone, so she runs off to find her mother. She runs into her cat, who's talking to her. It turns out that the cat is a magician from Paris, who wants to help her learn how to become a witch. He's here to pick up the girl and take her to a magical school so she can become a "witch" .
