The next morning, Polonius wakes up in the middle of the night to find a mob outside his door, ready to attack him. Polonius tries to calm them down, but the mob is too strong. He tells them that he is not a beast, but a man who has made mistakes and learned from them. He says that he will never leave Polonius again.
