About This Chapter
The protagonist wakes up in his glass slippers and fantasizes about visiting Europe one day. He's surprised to find that he's actually in Europe. He wishes he'd been able to spend more time with Mr. Nosuke, who is the president of the company where he works, but he can't bear to let him go. He tells the company president to knock on his door and ask him to marry him. The company president does so, and the protagonist is so happy that he knocks on the door of his fiancee's apartment. The woman is drunk, and she runs off with the protagonist. The protagonist tells the woman to find him, but she doesn't want to, because she feels like she's in a story book. She tells the protagonist to be his "princess." The protagonist says he'll never let himself be moved by this kind of feeling, and he puts a tracking device on his shoe. He says that if the protagonist likes him, his show of desperation makes it hard to think that the protagonist isn't serious. If he likes the protagonist, he shows himself to be more desperate. He asks the woman if she wants to hear more about how desperate he was when he got a "boy friend" in college. But the protagonist says that he couldn't even do anything about it. He feels like he has to think about proposing to her now, because he feels like it's too late. She says that she'll say yes if he wakes up from his dream, even if it means she has to be a princess. He kisses her, saying that he loves her even if she woke up from her dream. He gives her a bunch of kiss marks, which he says will turn purple later on.
