This chapter's epigraph is from Gulliver's letter to Horatio. In it, Gulliver tells Horatio that he's going to kill himself if he doesn't take care of his wounds. He tells Horatio to "don't tell me" and "just leave it to regis" . The captain's dog runs in and attacks the captain, who hits the dog and then drags it to her tent.
