The scene opens with the sound of a knock at the door. It's a knock from the Governess's servant. The servant tells her that her servant has been injured in the fight. The Governess asks the servant if he's okay, and the servant says that he is. She tells the servant that she'd like him to promise her that he won't go to the police if he doesn't stop acting. She also tells him that if he does stop acting, she'll take care of him as a pet, and that he should change out of his costume as well. She says that she brought someone back from China, and she's super proud of her beauty. She asks him why he can't take a bath with her, and he says that the water in the house is too high. He says that there's plenty of water everywhere, so why not go for a walk?
