The next morning, the gang prepares to go to lunch at the school's cafeteria, but the gang's leader, Black, refuses to eat with them. He tells the gang that he has invited another girl to come and eat with him, and that he will not tell the others that he is there. When the gang asks him why he refused to invite them to lunch, Black says that he did not want to disappoint the girl, but that the girl does not want the fried shrimp that Black has prepared for her. The gang tries to make fun of Black's refusal, but he refuses to listen. He says that the food is mixed with other people's food, and he does not get to taste the food often. He also says that his cooking is not as good as that of the other boys at school, because he cooks food for the school canteen, not for his own consumption.
