About This Chapter
Etsuko wakes up in the middle of the night to find a bunch of kids talking about the ghost of hanako. She's convinced that it's her mom's daughter, satomi, who's been missing for three years. She tells the kids that they're all out of their minds and that she's never met anyone by the name of "hanako" before. She also tells them that they should stop talking about hanako and just believe that she exists. She says she'll play with the kids if she sees "Hanako" in the school bathroom stall. She doesn't know how to use the bathroom, but she'd rather use it than the one in the hallway, so she goes in. She sees no one there but ietsuko, who comes running out of the room. She asks the kids to tell her what's going on.
