About This Chapter
The next morning, the Governess and Lockwood return to Lockwood's old house. The Governess tells Lockwood that she wishes they could spend more time together. She asks him if he would like to paint some scenes of the events that have happened in his life. Lockwood says that he would rather paint a picture of his own life than one of his dead lover's. He says that if his lover had been murdered, he would have spent a lot of time trying to solve the mystery. The two men reminisce about their childhood together. Lockwood asks if he could go back to his old house and spend some time with them. He suggests that they go to the movies they used to watch together, and that he could paint some of the scenes he saw in his dreams.
