About This Chapter
It's the final round of the Sing-Off, and the girls are nervous. One of the girls has gone to the hospital for a cold, while the other has had to take a day off because of a "work emergency" . The girls are worried that if they fail, they'll have to pay their uncle back for the debt he owes them. They decide to do their best, and they're psyched to be on stage. They're called "the kids," and they practice a lot. They pass the first round, and now they have to perform a song they wrote for the competition. The kids are psyched, too, because they've already performed a hundred times on the stage. Everyone's psyched to see them perform, and it's a relief to hear that they haven't yet passed the second round.
