Back at school, Clyme is sweating. She tells us that she ran away from school that day because she was scared of rumors and embarrassed. She asks him if he wants to be her friend, and he tells her that he will help her. He says that he did not hit anyone, and that the teachers would not call his mom over it. He tells us about the teachers talking about calling a disciplinary committee, and how he told them that he was not hit, and they wouldnt call the committee since he said so. He also says that if he had been hit, he would have been scared to follow him around, and would have hit him instantly. He drops a bag of cat food on the ground, and then he says he was just asking her for a favor, and she is shocked.
