In this chapter, we learn that Dr. Jack Davidson has been implicated in the murder of his father. Dr. Lapd has turned over the case to the Food and Drug Administration for investigation, and the ambassador has been working with the gdc industries to sell wheat and corn in the United States and around the world. We learn that the two men worked with a group in south east Asia to spread the disease, and that they are responsible for the deaths of the ambassador and his family. We are told that the cause of the disease is unknown, but that it is a common cold-like cold that causes the disease.
