In this chapter, we learn that Dr. Bledsoe's ghost has taken over the throne from the impostor, and that the two men have allowed him to stay on as their "local guardian spirit" in case there is chaos in the area. The two men are pleased with the results of their efforts, and they are pleased that the ghost has been able to "purify this area" .
