The fairies have been trying to find the crown all day, but they haven't been able to find it. They're still trying to figure out how to get it back, and they're having a lot of fun at the same time. He asks why nora didn't say anything about the missing crown at the meeting, and she says that's because she's so busy with the party that she doesn't have much time to think about it. She also says that the black velvet pouch that they used to hide the crown was mixed with the tablecloths. The other crowns are also missing, so they've decided to hide them in the back of the room. The crowns are fakes, of course, because they were made to look like the real crowns at the party. They were supposed to put one in each room, but when the party was canceled, they left the crowns there. The first thing to do is to get the real crown out of the velvet pouch, but that means that the party has been canceled, and now they don't know what to do about them.
