About This Chapter
The next day, Caius tries to convince his friends that he's leaving the band. He tells them that he won't be able to come back if they don't come to visit him every six months. Caius says that he doesn't just want to be friends with them, he also wants to be a part of their family. He's fired from the band, and Caius wonders if his father will be angry with him for leaving. He wonders what will happen to his father and his friends if Caius leaves. He also wonders why Caius looks so depressed. He thinks that Caius is more important right now than he is with Vica. When Caius taps on a number, he finds out that Vica and her lover have left. He realizes that they're both gone. He can't believe that he was dumped for Vica, and that the womanizer stole him from Caius. He curses himself for making a fool of himself.
