The chapter opens with a description of the scene in which Nemo and Nemo's son, Nemo Jr., comes down from the nest. Nemo asks the boy why he came down, and the boy tells him that it was necessary for him to do so. The boy says that he has never seen Nemo eat before, and that he is just eating what he can. He tells the boy that it is the first time he has seen a new god, but that he did not make it, and he does not know if he has a partner who would have to discuss custody of the child. He says that if the child keeps getting bigger, the child might bust and die, but the child does not eat anything. He asks if there is anything he likes to eat, and if he is hurt, he says that it hurts if he eats too much, but he can eat it if he wants to. He also says that even if the chaos appeared, he would be able to eat it, but if he touched him, he might have died. When the boy asks what his name is, the boy says it is "amaz" , which means "the same." The boy then asks if Nemo has come to play lately, and Nemo says he has been very lonely. He wonders if this is the way it feels for a child to leave the nest, and asks if the boy is friends with Nemo, to which the boy replies, "you don't have to guess, you're just friends." He says he will go with the boy, even if he cannot fly with him.
