The chapter opens with a soliloquy by a young man named shin. He tells the audience that he is sure that the gods will like him, but he is still confused. He tries to remember the conversation he had with Yatsude earlier in the day, but his memory is getting "hazier" . The young man tells the crowd that they are shouting at the gods because they are "bouncing like crazy" , and he asks them to come to him. They do, and the young man says that they need to come because he is serving the gods, not the other way around. He asks if the rumors are true that the god eats chaos, and they reply that it is not true. He then asks if they are doing all right, who he calls "ing a head," and they say that they do not. He says that when they were walking earlier, he looked happy, but when he turned to ask if he thought it was because he was helping the gods out, he said that he didnt think it was wrong, and that he brought the gods to eat the chaos. He also asks if he can get rid of Chaos, and she says that she was "silenced" earlier, but now that she is "livelier" she looks healthier. He wants to thank her for her help and speak to her about other matters. She says that there is a wall between the gods and the other men, and there is no one else around who can help them. She asks him to take care of himself too, since he is more "over-protective" than the gods. She tells him that she knows of girls like her who were "yatsudes type," and that she can help her if she wishes. He takes his hand and they kiss.
