About This Chapter
The narrator and his friends are in the library when they hear someone calling. The narrator is disappointed that he is not with the other students because he is "stranger to each other" at school. He is wearing the glasses the teacher gave him, which are "seriously uncomfortable" . The glasses remind the students that they are wearing them, and the narrator says that he almost falls over because of them, but he is able to keep his balance thanks to his motor skills. He asks the teacher if he is talking to someone, and she says that there is no one there, but that she will come to him soon. The other students rush out of the library, but the narrator clenches his fists and yells at them to hurry away. He wants to be alone, and he wants to know who is calling.
