In this chapter, we meet the protagonist, a young man named Mapa, who works as a dormitory in an organization's kitchen. He and his co-worker, an older man named Inaba, are worried about what to eat for dinner that day. Inaba tells us that his boss, the kitchen boss, is a nice guy, but he's not paying attention to the people around him. He's also a little nervous about the fact that they're going to be streaming a food-related video later in the day.
