This chapter opens with a discussion between a student and a librarian. The librarian tells the student that he is worried that the student is being too hard on himself. The student tells the librarian that he has been studying hard in the library since he was a freshman and that he was being watched by the student council. He is worried because the student has been hitting him hard and he is afraid that someone will come and grab him. He asks the librarian to stop
