When Haruma turns thirty, he realizes that his life has changed, and he is now able to take on greater responsibilities. He asks Haruma if he is going to take a test to be certified as a mental health professional in the United States. Haruma tells him that he is free to take the test, and Haruma asks him to call him whenever he has time. He tells Haruma that he wants to be with her forever, and that he wonders if he has been stuck in the "old me" . He is happy that he has removed his worries from him, and tells Haru that the next time they meet, he will tell him how things are going after the meeting with the new manager. He says that he does not want to rush the test because he feels rushed, but he does want to take as many tests as he can. He feels that his fever is getting worse, and now that his place is closer to Haruma's, he feels that he cannot take care of himself. He wants to talk to Seto instead of Haruma, but Haruma reminds him that his goal is to marry Haruma.
