In this chapter, we learn that the two young men are engaged in an argument, and that one of the men is a "sin 1880 jerk" and the other a "sincere jerk" . We learn that this is the first time that we've seen the two men engaged in a sexual relationship, and we're also told that they've been together since the beginning of time. We also learn that, since the novel's inception, the two of them have been "fighting" each other. The two men argue about who is the better of the two, and it's clear that they don't like each other, so they're going to have to part ways.
