He tells the audience that he has been wandering around the city and has come upon his older brother, who seems to be in a good mood. He asks the audience to imagine that he and his brother are in love. The narrator tells us that he does not know whether or not his brother and his sister-in-law are actually in love, but he does know that they are. He says that he wants to tell his brother that he likes him, but that he cannot say that he will be with his brother.
