In this chapter, we learn that Mitsuru has recorded the entire conversation between himself and Ren. He's hoping that if he sells the recording to a magazine, he'll be able to "come out of this" a little better. Ren, on the other hand, has had a "look on his face like youve been yesterday" , and he's ready to "go again soon" . Um, that's a good thing, because we're about to learn that Ren's been "fucked good" by the sound of his voice. Ren tells us that when he was dating her, she was the one who "called the press" and had someone take their picture together. Ren says that she's "sick of it all" and that she found her when she was "fed up" with her life. She asks Ren why he doesn't fall in love with her, and Ren replies that he has neither the "love" nor the "commitment" to make her happy. Ren is sure that Ren has some sort of "g.ps" tracking on him, but Ren is just as obsessed with him as she is. Ren admits that they're different in age, weight, and upbringing, but that they don't "fall down together" because they were born the same way. They're not falling down together because they love each other, Ren says, but because they want to "drag him down with" each other.
