In this short scene, the Governess attempts to seduce the young Governess into giving in to her advances. She tells her that she has been told that she is the "worst" of all the women in the company, and that the next day she was "pushed down and stagger 90" . The Governess tells the girl that she will not "do lewd things" with her until she has become her "girl friend" and she has won her "body and soul".
