The scene opens in the hotel lobby, where Ling is waiting for her boss to return from his lunch break. Ling tells Ling that he has to go back to work because she is so excited to see him. Ling says that he was just teasing her to make her feel better and that she should come back with him. She says that she wants to be with him all the time, even though she has never wanted to. Ling asks if she can say it in front of him, but she can't because the words are too heavy. She wants to do anything she can to please him.
