The narrator tells us that one day, he was worried about Toujou, who was getting lonely. He went to ichikawa and found out that he was being harassed. He made the story public, thinking that he deserved some punishment, but he didn't want to use the story as an excuse to get back at him. The narrator says that everyone has feelings, and misdeeds happen too. Even now, he tells us, he's always being unfair to others.
