She thinks that "being a demon" is a "bad thing," but she tells him that she doesn't think Mimi is going to reject his proposal. He tells her that no one will accept him because he has not even had a "proper conversation" with Mimi. He says that he is a failure as a person and as a chameleon. He asks the audience to listen to his story.
