This chapter opens on a street in the middle of nowhere. It's just after midnight, and we're talking to a guy who's been hanging out on the street for a while. He's talking about a girl who looks familiar to him, but he doesn't know what to make of it. He asks the girl if she's ever been to the Heavenly Warrior Pavilion before, and the girl says she has. The guy says he's not sure if this is the same girl that he used to hang out with before, or if it's a new girl that's come to visit the nightmare palace for the first time. He tells the girl to open the taiyi pill, and he'll crush her soul if she tries to trick him again. He also tells her that she has to acknowledge him as her ghost mother, and that she'll have to acknowledge the ghost mother's soul as well if she wants to get out of this nightmare palace.
