"Recognition Success" The narrator tells us that he's going to pick all of his favorite food from the menu. He's excited to be able to choose what he likes. He asks if he can eat the "scar" , and the narrator tells him that it's just a scar from the time he told Martin about it. He also tells the narrator that he decided to protect him this time, so he won't have to worry about Martin's reaction to the scar. The narrator then tells us about the ginger, and how he learned that it was a "precious seasoning" when he first arrived in the city. He tells us how he once made a "purified young legling green herbs" as a "weird scent smoke soup" . He then asks Martin if he'd ever thought of eating raw, and Martin tells him he ate too much. Martin then tells him about how he used to cook "spawn meat," which is a type of meat that's very hard to eat.
