About This Chapter
The centaur returns to the walker's camp. He asks the creature if he would like to see the monster again. The creature says he can't because he'll have to wash his hands before he can do so. He also says that he's disgusted by the creature's kindness, but he doesn't know if it's because the creature likes humans or because he has many other companions. The narrator asks the centaur if he knows how to get back to the camp, and the creature replies that he already has many new discoveries to make. He promises to try to get along with his friends once he returns
