About This Chapter
The scene opens with Hiroshi's declaration that he is going to risk his life to love a "dangerous boss" who is "pretending to be innocent" . He asks Hiroshi to show him his bag. Hiroshi tells him that he has just moved to a new apartment building and that he can walk him back to his old address. He tells Hiroshi that it is an hour's walk from the train station and that there are no cabs in the area. He says that he and Hiroshi are waiting for the next train to take them back to the station. He adds that Hiroshi might get picked on again if he leaves him alone. The two men argue about whether Hiroshi should keep his bag or not. They decide that he should keep it because he is right next door to his house. They talk about how Hiroshi has said that he will love her "no matter what" , and how he wasted his time trying to "polish himself for a man" by wearing expensive clothes. They argue about how he was "brave earlier" and "couragelier" than they were when they were young. They discuss how he worked hard to flatter the man he is now . They agree that he was right to flatter not lie, and that the man who said he would love her no matter what is right now is the one who helped Hiroshi earlier .
