In this chapter, Shmoop explains that he and his friends have been using their newfound powers to kill people. They're still using their guns, but they don't seem to know what they're doing. He tells them that they've been detained for their "snarling" and that he's got two weeks to go before he can go back to school. He asks them if they can get back to their families, and they all agree that they need to check the messenger to see if the guy who sent them a demand has changed his mind. They also agree that it's time for them to give up their "masked vigilantism" or their identities to be made public. They all agree unanimously that they should stop using their powers. They urge their friends to go to school and find out what's going on. They tell their friends that they have to report immediately to the school's principal's office because they think the school is in danger. They wonder if they'll be able to figure out where the kid from the previous chapter came from.
