The scene opens with the manager and his assistant getting off work. The assistant tells the manager that he's done a good job with his job, and the manager congratulates him on his performance. He's shocked that the assistant and his boss are in such a great working relationship, and he wonders how he can just leave his lover at this hour of the day. He tells the assistant that he has been afraid of being attacked at this time of day, and that he doesn't believe that a man like him would ever encounter this kind of situation. He says that he told the assistant not to touch the shirt, but that's because he didn't want the shirt to be used anymore.
