Aunt Marmee tries to stop her niece from having an affair, but she can't. She tells the girls to go ahead and have a good time. She also tells them that if Marmee is not home that night, they should send her away so that she doesn't get caught. When the girls arrive, they find that the bed is falling apart. Marmee apologizes to them and says that she's in a bad mood.
