It's been awhile since his wife has been to the beach, but she hasn't thought about going back yet, so he's going to have to go there once more. He asks a woman if she'd like to have drinks with him. She says yes, and they go off to have one. The man asks her if she expects anything, and she says no. He's not expecting anything, he says, and he doesn't think of expecting anything. He wants to know if there are any capable men in the town, and if he has to find someone to drink with. The woman says no, and the man asks if she has a drink already. She's lucky, the man says, because she already had one. He says that he was planning to give the woman a drink with him, but now he can't go back because his wife is at work nearby, and there's no way he'll be able to get her to come back. He tells her that his wife works at a nearby school, and that's why he came to the town. He then asks if the woman knows the teacher who works at the school he works at, and her husband is the teacher's husband, and so he must be a teacher at the nearby school. The two of them go on to talk about how the man is a rich man, and how he thinks he drank too much, but they haven't discussed it yet.
