The scene opens with the chairman of the board of directors, Mr. Park, arriving at the school. He tells the students that he has been talking to a native speaker teacher about class issues and that they should hurry up and get ready for the spring session. The chairman asks if the native speaker is doing well, and the student replies that she is doing very well. He then asks the chairman if he should "keep an eye on" the student to help her escape from trouble. The student says that he should do so, but the chairman replies that he was just discussing class issues, and they will talk about it later. The students are all waiting for the chairman to return, so the chairman tells them to hurry up. He asks the student if he has done anything "filthy" in the last few days, and she says that she has not, and he asks if he did not do anything filthy at all. The teacher replies that the student has not done anything filthy in the past few days. He says that the students are waiting for him, so he should be on her side, and that she should be kept on her guard to get her off of trouble. When the chairman asks what he is talking about, the student responds that he is just talking about a class issue. The professor says that they will discuss the issue later, and then the students will all be waiting to hear what the chairman has to say. The man says that if the student is in trouble, he should keep an "eye on" her, and if she is not, then he should ask the nurse to flush her out. The woman replies that it is not possible to ask a woman to flush a man out, as it would be against the school's code of ethics to ask for a woman's help. The young man asks the school nurse if he can find out what is inside the room where he sat on a chair. The school nurse says that it would not
