The next morning, Shu-shi tells Shimizu that the pitch meeting went well, but that she's disappointed that she didn't have a better opportunity to pitch the company's products to potential clients. She apologizes to him, but he doesn't seem to understand. He tells her that his former boss, Onizuka, still has a grudge against him for refusing to let him change his team. He says he's the man he is today, and he thanks him for letting him work for him back in the day.
