Ten thousand years before, in the Battle of the Holy Land, Luo zu lost his flesh and soul, trapped in the ring of the demon lord. The demon lord, he explains, can build an altar of sacrifice to augment his power. The previous demon lord used this power to conquer dozens of cities.
