He wonders why the man has been kind to him, and wonders if it's because he knows him. He also wonders if the man's jealous of him, since he knows the man. He remembers when his boss gave him a used camera when he wasn't paid for the month, when his senior colleague ran away with a down payment, and even when he was promised that he would be paid later. He knows that when someone is nice to him without reason, there is definitely something they want in return. He thinks that this is for him and his aunt, and he wonders if they've been scammed before. He says that when he heard about the contract from someone else, he was sure that the person was trying to get something in return for it. He worries that he might have been tricked, but he also thinks that it might not be a bad person, and that he does not know what he is trying to do with the money
