It's the day of the family gathering, and the maid is eager to be introduced to her new fiance. She's worried that he won't be able to resist her advances, and she wants to make sure he doesn't lie to her. She wants to know when he's going to say yes to her proposal, but she can't figure out how to get him to say no. She knows that he'll be arriving in 30 minutes, so she'll have to wait for him. She also knows that sumita is out with a bad backache, which means she hasn't been feeling well. The maid is worried that she's being manipulative, and so she tries to get her to touch her more. She tries to make him kiss her more, but he'd rather not do that. She tells him that she has been traveling around the world, and that it's time for her to ask her father's permission to marry him. He's not a good match for her, she says, because she'd be married to someone else. She asks if there's another maid in the house, and he says there is.
