About This Chapter
Welcome to the "lucky seven shopping area" , where humans and animals live peacefully together. The narrator tells us that he's looking for a nice place to live with a family of four. He's been hearing a lot about living in the real world, so he'll talk to his family about it. He suggests that they go to the garden and see if it's a good place for them to live. He says that if they say they're taken, then the creature will have to give it up. He also says that the creature has been picked up by magazines and shows, so maybe they went too far. He asks if the creature is scared, and the narrator says that it is. He tells the narrator to rustle the person he lives with, because the creature got him when he tried to put the creature in the carrier, but that's not much of a deal. The protagonist is relieved, and says that she's learning all she can about getting the creature. She tells the protagonist that she hasn't heard from Mizuki in a long time, so she'll wait for him when she gets home. Mizuki isn't around either, so the protagonist says, "ding dong" . He won't be around either today, so they go back to the place where they left off.
